    It sounds really good, actually.

I do know the feeling of "eeeeh, this ain't that good"... and then a strong sense of loathing towards both the music and myself seeps in and I'm suddenly a failure at everything a... no? Just me?

    Oh well....

    Still, great little bit!

5/5 - Would do devious, mysterious, evil deeds to the tune of this

    AshleyAlyse responds:

Hahahaha, naw, you're not alone! Those are exactly the kind of notions I go through! XD

Thanks so much! :3 I appreciate it! Just... just make sure those evil deeds don't include... murder. :0

    Very dreamy.
    And nimble and melodic.
    And playful, yet deep.

    1:24 was an awesome transition.
I think the mix is great and fits very dynamically with the composition.
Like how the drums are a bit shy in volume , but that plays into the "nimble" aspect.

The melodies and progression are fantastic as per usual.
    Love this.

    5/5 - Would joyfully explore a robot-castle in a Metroidvania 2D Platformer to

    LucidShadowDreamer responds:

I get dreamy, I get nimble, melodic and playful. It's pretty cool that you find this deep though! Then again, I guess that some dreams can be pretty deep.
    I'm very happy with 1:24!
I think it's one of my best transitions yet in this genre of music. So I'm really happy to hear you liked it :3

Good to hear that the mix sounds solid to you, as I, not unlike you, have tried to improve my mixing skills, especially with this track :D
The drums are probably a bit shy in volume, yeah, as several people have mentioned it!

I am pretty happy with the melodies and progressions. I feel that melodies, chords and progressions are probably my strongest abilities when it comes to music XD

Thanks a million for your review dude; it made my day!!

Not sure I'll recover from this.

    ForgottenDawn responds:

    Me neither

This is bliss. Love the production. Love the textures.

Reminds me a bit of "The Flashbulb" stylistically, in the best of ways.
    Very fresh.
    Very full sounding.

5/5 - Would fall asleep and dream of being an existentialist cyborg to

    ForgottenDawn responds:

Thank you, I hope you have awesome and inspiring dreams :)

    This is fucking Amazing.

Clean and powerful production and mixing.
    The composition itself is breathtaking.
The dissonance and pace work together to make for a very haunting atmosphere.

    Very, very beautiful.

    Phonometrologist responds:

Very surprising review-- thanks for letting me know and I'm glad you feel this way about it!

    Fantastic rhythm.

Very atmospheric. The melodic line is very eerie in a pleasing way.

    libbyshimmz responds:

    Thank you!

I need to stop underestimating EWQLSO.

Fantastic composition and everything sounds great and natural.
The raspiness in the brass is particularly satisfying.

5/5 - Would command a scurvy crew of miscreates to.

    LucidShadowDreamer responds:

    Yarr!

Thanks a lot, it means much coming from such a great composer :3
I like the brass too; I used a lot more trumpets, horns and trombones in this one than I usually do, in order to get a more... Piratey sound :p
I'm sure there are better intruments out there, but I'm still very happy with the purchase of EWQLSO, as it was very cheap when I got it, and it has easliy been enough for me to handle at the moment XD

Splendid piece. Very soothing. Impeccably produced.

    That flute(?) is spot on.

    Beautiful composition.

5/5 - Would start a family, build a farm, raise cattle and die happy to this.

    samulis responds:

    Hahaha, thanks Alex!

It's a recorder, so yeah, more or less a flute (although don't tell any Musicologists I said that).

    Happy farming. :)

Oh wow. This gave me goosebumps.

I mean, maybe I'm a sap for community get-togethers, but there's a warm feeling in hearing the combined effort of a bunch of like-minded dedicated musicians.

The mix and performances sound fantastic.
The stereo grouping/imaging on the different vocals is the cherry on top. Delightful production.

    5/5 to everyone involved.

    Step responds:

Hey LunyAlex! Thanks for the review. c:

Yeah I'm a sap for them too. It's impressive and heartwarming hearing a bunch of people from a community getting together and making something as a team.

Super glad you think the production is good. You're gonna have to thank MetalRenard for the stereo grouping on the vocals. I usually wouldn't have done it since I can't pan stuff due to having a deaf ear, but he suggested that I give it a shot. I had no idea what I was doing but nobody complained yet so I must've done it right!

Thank you again for the review. Much appreciated!
