Really loving that meaty mid-centric synth that powers the main melody. Very slick and alieny. Good luck in the contest!

Cheers for the kind words! I was fooling around with some atmosphere for an intro but after some FX chaining it felt like it would stand out better as part of the main beat, really liked the drive of the sound. A lot less so with the underlying bassline, which I tried to manipulate more but some of my automations were fucking up the subbass so I left them out for now.
Still doing amazing work after all these years, hmm?
Beautiful sound and composition!
Thanks Alex! I'm glad to see you around :)
I've got lots of studies but I try to get music done whenever I can!
I really enjoyed this.
I think the melodies are lively and vivid and beautiful.
The rhythms sustain it well.
There's a lot of feeling here. The "shy" ending wraps up everything very nicely.
If there's one critique I'd mention is that the intro takes a bit too long, but it's not enough to demote a star.
5/5.
i agree about the intro, its a bit too long :x.
thanks for the review !

Really love the delicate and surreal start followed by the transition to the more thunderous crescendo. Very effective. The choir is awesomely used.
Production is very slick and full.
I'm imagining a very futuristic dystopian world. Camera pans through a city that combines classical architecture with metallic, robotic elements.
Probably not what you had in mind, but I'm loving what I'm hearing and picturing, hah.
Great work! Good luck!
Haha, well you won't believe this, but the picture I used for inspiration on this song fits your description perfectly! Thanks for the feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed it! ^_^
Absolutely gorgeous.
The melodies are as deep as they are dark and melancholic. The production is fantastic, with the hybrid elements adding an extra layer of freshness.
The musicbox intro and outro are perfect.
The choir is sinister, yet very humane.
The cello is haunting.
Don't know if either of you has played the game Divinity: Original Sin, but this would work very nicely in there. It's a mysterious fantasy dark-fairytale-y RPG featuring one of my favorite soundtracks in many years.
I only bring it up to underline that I really, really love the style and quality of this track.
Best of luck and amazing work!
Thank you for reviewing our track, LunyAlex! :3
I think I turned this track much darker than its original bas was with my melodies. I even took some risks and used some notes that logic tells should clash, but that sounded good to me. Hopefully, the judges appreciate more experimental harmonies.
I'm glad to hear you liked the music box! The intro was an idea that I had, but was very unsure of whether we should use or not, but dem0 convinced me that it fits, and used it again very effectively in the outro :)
You can also thank dem0lecule for most of the choirs and for the cello. He is amazing at those!
I haven't played the game, but I don't know about dem0. I'm glad to hear that our track would fit in such a game though! I'll have to listen to some of the soundtrack when I get time.
Thanks a lot for your praise, and best of luck to you as well!!!
This is amazing!
Phenomenal production and orchestration (I care little for classic conventions).
And while it doesn't sound full-full, that is no detriment to the piece. A certain hollowness is thematically fitting.
Delightful track and a great fit to the art piece that inspired it.

Thanks a lot man! I also was quite happy to find the artwork. There is so many amazing art here on NG...
Great track!
Great tones, juicy raw production and some amazing solos.
Superb work. My only constructive criticism is that maybe a lead guitar following the string melody would've helped the strings fit a bit better. But it doesn't detract from the song.
Awesome track!
Awesome man, thanks for your review! Do you mean the string melody in the beginning? I do suppose that part would sound nice with some lead, I may consider adding lead to it in the future. Thanks once again!
Amazing production and writing.
The transition at 2:09 is peculiar, but in no way would I say it's bad.
The synths are crispy and the bass is full. The pulsing nature of the song is very entrancing and atmospheric.
5/5 - Easily one of my favorite EDM tracks on NG.
Thank you! Goodluck in the NGADM too!
This is groovy as hell.
Can't really bring any critique to the table.
Really love the occasional rhythmic intricacies in the vocals. The piano is bliss. The vocals are expressive. Great stuff!
Many thanks, LunyAlex! I'm glad that you dig the bluesy vocals, jazzy piano, and overall vibe. It's really awesome to know that the vocal rhythm changes can be appreciated without any assumption that the phrasing is mistimed. Here's hoping that the judges dig it, too. Best of luck to you in Group L!
Really cool. Great vibe, aside from NiN do I also hear a bit of Korn influences in there? Depending on who's taking it that can come as either a compliment or insult, haha, but I used to really enjoy that band some time ago.
Great song with a great atmosphere.

Nothin' wrong with Korn. At least they ain't Nickelback, amirite?
