Oh wow, 1:22 caught me off guard. Fantastic song, great progression, great production.

Reali-tGlitch responds:

Thanks!

It is definitely one of my top 5 tracks.

5/5 - Better than that Everything is Awesome song.

SonicWombat responds:

2/2 Better than other reviews on other stuff.

Great contrast between soothing and groovy. Great production.

Everratic responds:

Thank you. I agree :D

Love the stylistic combination here. Great electronic production with intricate, I'd even say solemn chords. For some reason it reminds me a bit of Muse as well. Great stuff!

TetratonMusic responds:

Thanks a lot!

5/5 - That Kick knocked my teeth out.

DESHIEL responds:

kWAN U STEEL TAAAK? :D

MY GOD, MAN!

The performance is amazing. The composition is amazing. The emotions are amazing. The production is amazing. Those little inverse chords that work as transitions are amazing. This is so amazing.

Holy S*** I just got to the strings. My God!
Guitar tone is also sublime.

2:43, there's a small bit of clipping. But that's it. Song is phenomenal.

5/5 - Am intimidated. If I happen to make it into the next stage of NGADM, I hope to stay as far away from you for as long as possible, haha.

Phonometrologist responds:

Your review is amazingly encouraging!
In regards to the next stage of NGADM, likewise. Can't say I've composed much rhythmic/action-packed pieces as you, so I wouldn't worry too much.

Great song. I really like the textures and overall production.

Voltus responds:

Thanks for the kind words, I sat months at this thing to get it right :D

I really enjoyed this.

It's as if Mozart and Danny Elfman became best friends after meeting at a party one night.
Solemn and classical with a few wacky grins in between.

(As constructive criticism: I think the slightly mysterious vibe begs for a bit of Hall reverb. Would go a far way atmospherically IMO. )

5/5 - Would use in scene where The Duke's daughter dances with her groom-to-be for the first time (planned wedding), as she stares into his slightly insane gaze, discovering he's not the boring fat cat she imagined.

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

Thanks a lot LunyAlex!

I've got to love your reviews, as they are so unlike any other reviews I get XD
You're definitely right in that I should've added hall reverb to this. It's just that my laziness got in the way of such things. This is a recording from early 2013, and as I'm currently doing military service (unwillingly due to conscription laws D:), I'm uploading old pieces instead of new ones :p
That's a weak defence though :3

I like that scenario you painted in my mind too :')

This is strikingly beautiful! Deeply atmospheric and very active, melodically.

And with impeccable production to top it off.

5/5 - Hobbits would be sleeping to this if I were Peter Jackson

SoundChris responds:

Thank you very much! I think the loop stil does not work perfectly but i will fix that soon. Right now i have to compose a few more pieces for the Sorcerers Path to get it ready for PAX.
Working for a tolkin movie would be ultra awesome - even this will never happen :D
Thanks for leaving your thoughts here.

All the best,
Chris

Love the atmosphere in this. Love the use of effects and different textures. It's a pretty heavy song, in terms of emotion.

Chemiqals responds:

Thanks, glad you liked it! =)
